Who Shouldn't Homeschool?

I don't believe homeschooling is for everyone.

I believe that homeschooling should NOT interfere with the parent-child relationship more than if the child were in traditional school.

I believe that if there is not enough parental or adult support surrounding the child to keep the child safe on the internet or in person, then homeschooling is not the right path.

I believe that if the parent doesn't have the capacity or time to learn many new things, (not everyone has that luxury), then homeschooling is not optimal.

However, if the parent really wants to homeschool, but does not know how, this shouldn't keep them from homeschooling.

If the child has special needs that are difficult to meet in traditional school, that doesn't mean homeschooling won't work.  In fact, homeschooling may be exactly the right thing for that child...they could soar in a different environment.

If the parent has no idea about homeschool curriculum, this shouldn't keep them from homeschooling.

If the parent has to work, that shouldn't necessarily keep them from homeschooling (especially if the parent can work from home).

There are solutions to these challenges! So, is homeschooling for you?
